Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga to a single mother, Akia learned early on how to hustle and grind by all means. She started working at the tender age of 10 years old at her Grandfather's Body Shop, Shaw Sales and Service, a staple in the East Point community for over 50 years. Akia partnered with the Fulton County Board of Education and was voted the Volunteer of the Year in 2018. Akia made it her business to teach her community financial literacy starting with grade school during the day, and their parents and guardians at night. Akia desired to provide a sense of hope and freedom through various avenues, but one specifically being Real Estate. After passing the state exam on the first try, Akia took the leap of faith, quit her great or pirate job, and start The Skye Group. After selling almost $7M within 9 months of her Real Estate career, Akia was recognized as a Top 5% Producers by the Association of Realtors and the #5 Individual Agent by the Largest Brokerage in the world, Keller Williams.
