Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga to a single mother, Akia learned early on how to hustle and grind by all means. She started working at the tender age of 10 years old at her Grandfather's Body Shop, Shaw Sales and Service, a staple in the East Point community for over 50 years. After passing the state exam on the first try, Akia took the leap of faith, quit her great or pirate job, and start The Skye Group.
